BENTON - The 5A South race stands to be a very tight one as the stretch run gets underway with only 4 1/2 games separating the top seven teams in the league.
In their history of being conference rivals, El Dorado and White Hall have played plenty of thrillers with each of their last three games being decided by one run.
El Dorado’s boys finished third last year in the 5A South Conference Golf Tournament behind Benton and Hot Springs Lakeside. The defending champion Panthers bring four of their top five players back for this year’s tournament, which tees off Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hot Springs Country Club.
