The annual 2024 George Washington Birthday Luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 24 at the Hot Springs Country Club. Attendees will include residents from Pine Bluff, Arkadelphia, Batesville, Benton, Fordyce, Camden, Little Rock, Hot Springs, Russellville, Stuttgart and across the state.

Lady Cats have a shot in conference tourney s open field

A year ago, El Dorado rode Hope Walthall’s record-setting 67 into second place in the 5A South Conference Tournament. The Lady Wildcats won’t have Walthall’s score this season, but Coach Chris Ezell is still excited about their chances in the conference tournament, which tees off Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hot Springs Country Club.

El Dorado’s boys finished third last year in the 5A South Conference Golf Tournament behind Benton and Hot Springs Lakeside. The defending champion Panthers bring four of their top five players back for this year’s tournament, which tees off Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Hot Springs Country Club.

El Dorado s Michael competes in Junior PGA Championship

El Dorado’s Keaton Michael didn’t have time to celebrate leading his team to a season-opening golf victory in the Simmons Bank Wildcat Invitational on Monday. After shooting 75 and winning medalist honors at the Lions Club, the senior hit the road to Hot Springs to compete in the biggest tournament of his career - the Junior PGA Championship.
