Petrol, diesel prices rise after two-day pause
Petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Tuesday after two days of pause. According to news agency ANI, while petrol became dearer by 25 paise, diesel price was increased by 35 paise. In Delhi, the retail price of petrol stands at Rs 90.83 per litre and diesel at Rs 81.32 per litre.Â
Oil marketing companies had left petrol and diesel prices unchanged for two days on Sunday and Monday amid pressure to check the fuel price rise in the country. Across the country as well the petrol and diesel price remained stable after rising for 12 consecutive days till Saturday.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: Petrol and diesel prices touched record all-time highs across the four metros on Saturday, February 20, after oil marketing companies increased the prices for twelve days in a row. In Delhi, the price of petrol was hiked by 39 paise from Rs 90.19 per litre to Rs 90.58 per litre, and diesel was increased by 37 paise from Rs 80.60 per litre to Rs 80.97 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation, the country s largest fuel retailer. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, the revised petrol and diesel rates stood at Rs 97.00 per litre and Rs 88.06 per litre respectively. Currently, the fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai, among the four metro cities. (
