DRACUT The athletic program at Dracut High School has a long and storied history. Over the years, many of Dracut’s outstanding athletes and coaches have been enshrined in the Dracut High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Their names line the wall outside the high school gymnasium.
It was a year of celebrating championships, clutch performances, a dynasty extended, golfing sisters, reaching perfection, magical runs which came up just short, and the promise of future memories with two professional teams headed to Lowell.
Nineteen members of the 14th-ranked Endicott College football team have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference postseason honors. Justyn Lester (Tewksbury) was was named the league's Offensive Lineman of the Year.
It certainly was a fun, entertaining and memorable girls basketball season this past winter. Dracut reached the Division 2 state final for the first time, while Littleton, Tyngsboro and Pelham also made deep state tournament runs.
