Venables car stopped by police A MAN has been jailed after he was caught drink driving whilst on bail for committing the same offence. Manchester magistrates heard how Peter Venables, aged 31, of Winchester Way, Bolton was over the alcohol limit when he was stopped driving a Renault Megane on College Way, Bolton on December 11 last year. Venables, who was already subject to a suspended prison sentence for carrying a knife in public in Radcliffe in June last year, was stopped again in the same car on Gibraltar Street, Bolton, on January 2. This time, breath tests showed he had drunk double the legal alcohol limit.
A man has been arrested for drink driving in Bolton after testing nearly twice the legal limit. According to police, Peter Venables, 31, of Winchester Way, Breightmet was charged with drink driving after being stopped in the early hours of yesterday morning. Police stopped his vehicle just after 1:30am where he was breathalysed at the roadside and blew twice over the legal limit of 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. When taken to police custody he again provided a reading of 69 per 100 millilitres. A GMP Bolton North spokesman said: A man has been charged for drink driving in Bolton. Peter Venables (25/05/1989) of Winchester Way, Breightmet has been charged with drink driving after being stopped this morning (Saturday January 2).
