People living in poverty and the destitute should be the heart of service for anyone serving the Catholic Church in Fiji.
This, according to Archbishop Peter Loy Chong, after ordaining Father Samson Naigulevu and Father Thomas Lanyon into the church’s priesthood at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Suva yesterday.
Father Naigulevu and Father Lanyon would be part of the Congregation of the Mission, a community of Roman Catholic priests and brothers founded by Saint Vincent de Paul in 1625 for the evangelisation of the poor and the formation of the clergy.
