Violent protests lasted through the night after the shooting of a black man by a black police officer. At least a dozen officers have been injured including one who was hit in the face with a rock. Protesters shutting down interstate 85, fires were set and at least one walmart looted. Overnight officers used tear gas to try to break up the crowds and s. W. A. T. Teams have been mobilized. The City Attorneys Office plans to investigate whether the developers broke any type of state law when it comes to disclosing the sinking issues to purchasers of more than 400 residential units going for as much as 3 million. Since the opening in 2009 the 58 story tower has sunk a foot and a half and leans two inches.
