BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Connecticut s Beardsley Zoo has released its calendar for May through June 2021. Spring is a wonderful time to visit the Zoo, as many of the animals are more active in chilly weather. As we all hope that the pandemic is in its last stages, the Zoo is still a great place to get outside with the family for fresh air. Calendar subject to change without notice. Connecticut s Beardsley Zoo is closer than you think and open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Adult admission (ages 12 & older) is $16.00; children (ages 3 -11) are $13.00, senior admission (62 and older) is $13.00 and children under 3 years old are free. Zoo members also are admitted free.
Signs on the door indicate the closure is only temporary.
But Bank of America tells 7 On Your Side it s planning to pull out permanently and take everything with it including the ATM. Well, that doesn t make sense. I mean, this whole community here uses this all the time, said Peter Greenwood, another longtime Brisbane resident.
Word of the closure is just slowly starting to spread. The people 7 On Your Side talked with are hoping the bank will have a change of heart. They should care about the community, and about what is going on in our community, Elaine Reddell said.
Two Carbondale men have been taken into custody following an investigation into an alleged armed robbery that occurred earlier this year.
19-year-old Peter Greenwood and 21-year-old Jekiary Anderson were located and arrested in connection with the incident that took place in the 300 block of East Mill Street in January. In addition to the armed robbery charge, Greenwood was charged with obstructing a police officer.
