think some of the wind gusts have been stronger and they re not going to be as long as a duration. reagan national had a peak wind gust of 58 miles an hour; dulles, 59; bwi to 60 and get this, restin, 67 miles an hour wind gusts. this has brought down trees and has caused power outages. and temperatures have really changed and there is that strong cold front coming through and that is why we re getting the big winds. we have gone from 67 to 45 degrees and in gaithersburg, 39 degrees and plenty of cold air is going to come crashing in, and that is why the winds have been so strong because of the great temperature contrast. check out raleigh, still at indictment, richmond, 58; pittsburgh to 31 degrees and prepare for a cold night. going to be windy and you will have gusts to 30 and 40 miles an hour through the midnight hour. d.c. dropping to 32 degrees and a windchill, too. columbia, 28; gaithersburg, 26 degrees and back to reality, a cold night and we lost power at my house. w
message will resonate. patti ann: pete, did you want to respond to any of those yeah, adam i don t think anyone in their right mind could say the economy is in a good place at all. if you look at where unemployment is, if you look at the trillions of dollars that have been spent by president obama on government take overs of various industries, not only wall street, but also healthcare, and this cap and trade bill that he s trying to push, which is going to cost the company trillions, and also then millions of jobs, it s a complete unmitigated disaster. and he needs to take ownership, and really be a leader and talk about what he s going to do to fix it. not point fingers at the past. i think the president has taken owner ship ownership of this problem a hundred percent. if you read his statements on the campaign trail the last few days he s been saying that the economy is in bad shape, we have a lot more to go.
