Even by mid-morning on June 26, floodwaters still trapped the white rental car that Grosse Pointe City resident Kristina Papas had to abandon in the area of Lincoln Road and Chalfonte Avenue after it stalled in water that was, hours earlier, up to the windows. A Grosse Pointe City Public Safety vehicle that came to offer assistance also stalled out in the deep water.

well, they are at work. i will try to be objective and say they are in there working, they should be getting paid. but they have to have us at the forefront of what they are doing and realize we re not. i hope we are the constituents they are thinking about. are federal workers placing blame or does it matter? absolutely. it s almost like we are referring to them in washington. the first response would be, you know, as a whole. it might come down to a party line after that. we are disappointed here. it s hard to recover from this. pete randazzo. thanks for sharing your thoughts with me this morning. you re welcome. good luck with this.
