KUALA LUMPUR: The singer-composer who was arrested recently with compressed dried leaves and a number of ganja plants will be charged in court on Thursday (March 31), say the police.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal (
pic) said both suspects would be remanded until Jan 16 to facilitate further investigations.
At the Petaling Jaya Court Complex, members of the media had camped there since Friday (Jan 15) morning to follow up on the remand.
Lawyer Datuk Suraj Singh, who was representing both suspects, said the case was being investigated under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation. I can only confirm that I am representing both men and they will be remanded until tomorrow, he said when met at the Court Complex on Friday.
