Highway 37. Thats closed to steers point. Chp says the truck came around a corner, hit the guardrail, and the trailer tipped over. Firefighters say the trailer is leaking gas all over the road. More than 100 people have been stuck there for hours. They cant leave because of the cleanup. Other wineries also impacted too. Customers are not able to get there because of the road closure. Several wineries and farms in the area. They were forced to shut down for hours as caltrans and Hazardous Materials team worked. Its only one lane open now because crews if theres damage to the road because so much gasoline can actually cause the asphalt to degrade. The Highway Patrol as well as caltrans and cleanup crews will be here until 5 30 a. M. Monday morgan unt in the morning until we can assess whether theres structural issues with the roadway. Reporter highway 37 was shut down near the de anza winery to allow vehicles to turn around. The winery had to close for the afternoon because of the traffic situation.
