Muzaffar Baig Formally Joins Peoples Conference In Srinagar
In a statement, PC spokesman said they confabulated with Baig on a range of issues afflicting the people of J&K in these difficult times.
The spokesman said that Sajad Lone on this occasion invited Baig to once again return home and be a part of the party from where he started his political career. He impressed upon Baig that the need of the hour is that people like him should share their experience, expertise, knowledge and political wisdom for the betterment of J&K.
“Baig keenly participated in the confabulations and after detailed discussion expressed his pleasure in being able to be a part of the party from where he started his political career,” said the spokesman.

Even as the Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) swept the recently concluded District Development Council (DDC) elections, the six-month-old political grouping’s unity and future is being questioned by those who constituted it.
The political bickering is out in the open. The second rung leadership of the National Conference (NC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the People’s Conference (PC) are openly voicing concerns against one another – while everything at the top is being portrayed as hunky-dory.

explains the spectacle in wake of historic realties
A cartoon by Kashmir’s legendary cartoonist BAB saying the PADG would fight for 370, then will fight elections and will eventually fight within.
With Kashmir’s traditional rivals in politics joining hands post 5/8 to form Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD), the fault lines separating their turfs refuse to dissipate despite the leadership bonhomie. Throughout the post-partition history, the rivals have fed their followers with so much hate against each other that now political identities at ground zero defy the leadership.
There is a groundswell of support in PAGD’s favour but it is so wavering in certain areas that it can upset the calculations of top Kashmir parties. PAGD leaders admit they had not envisioned it. There are rebellions within the parties. At countless places, a PAGD candidate is in the contest against proxy candidates of the PAGD constituents.
