Man killed in Pennsylvania skydiving accident Victim was from New Jersey Share Updated: 10:01 AM EDT Apr 19, 2021 WGAL Victim was from New Jersey Share Updated: 10:01 AM EDT Apr 19, 2021 A man was killed Sunday in a skydiving accident in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.Officials found the body of Ed Harney, 74, of Parmus, New Jersey, in a wooded area.Friends told police Harney was an experienced skydiver.Authorities told WNEP-TV Harney’s parachute opened but eventually separated from him. Monroe County Coroner Tom Yanac says officials are not sure if there was a problem with the chute or another issue. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.
