(KFVS) - Some barges hit the Mississippi River bridge at Caruthersville on Friday morning, February 26. According to the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 10 a.m. Barge traffic was halted in the area and the Coast Guard was notified. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Interstate 155 reopened just after noon on Friday after the bridge was inspected.

(KFVS) - Police are investigating after a man was shot multiple times. On Wednesday, February 3, around 8 a.m., police received a call of shots fired in the area of East 18th. It was reported victim was shot in Mid Town. Police and the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene. They were told a 20-year-old man was shot multiple times. Because the suspect was not at the scene, police asked that all schools go on lockdown as a safety precaution.

Investigation underway after man found dead next to road in Pemiscot County, MO PEMISCOT COUNTY, Mo(WSIL) The Pemiscot County, Missouri Sheriff s office is now investigating after a man was found dead along the side of the road. Pemiscot County 911 received a call about a man lying next to U.S. 412 around 5:30 a.m. Monday. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Lamont Harris, 45 of Hayti, deceased on the side of the road. Pemiscot County Coroner Jim Brimhall will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The Pemiscot County Sheriff s Office, Missouri Highway Patrol, Caruthersville and Hayti Police Departments are still investigating.

(KFVS) - An investigation is underway after a man was found dead on the side of the road early on Monday morning, January 25. According to a release from Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell, 911 received a call at 5:36 a.m. on Monday of a person lying on the side of the road on U.S. 412 and County Highway 281. A truck driver reported seeing the person and stopped to check on him.
