In my sophomore year, I decided to go to free skate at Pegula with some of my sorority sisters. I skated a few times as a kid and hated it, so going again as an adult didn’t fill me with excitement. I awkwardly laced up the skates I rented and hobbled on to the ice after my friends went on without me.
