May 24—A larger recall of Jif peanut butter over salmonella concerns is affecting other products, including chocolates from Wilbur Chocolate store in Lititz.
WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - Cargill, Inc., a privately held food company, is recalling certain chocolate products containing recalled Jif peanut butter due to the potential for salmonella contamination
Cargill's voluntary recall includes certain lots of its Milk and Dark Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Ritz Crackers, Peanut Butter Meltaways, Peanut Butter Eggs and Fudge, according to the recall notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The FDA recommends that the public not consumer any dozens of products made by or with Jif brand peanut butter that may be linked to a Salmonella outbreak.
