When the 2020 softball season was cancelled due to COVID-19, the Brown County softball team headed west.
“During the summer, I know a lot of us played in Iowa,” Brown County’s Allison Prather said. “They were open for softball tournaments, and Missouri was, too. Nobody took a break, even though COVID took away our high school season. But I’m glad we got to come back and play this year.”
The Hornets enter the 2021 IHSA playoffs this afternoon against Augusta Southeastern with a No. 1 seeding and a 17-1 record.
