Well-known Indian motorcycle racer CS Santosh suffered a crash during the ongoing Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia and was put in a medically-induced coma after being airlifted to a hospital in Riyadh.
The 37-year-old Santosh, who was representing the Hero MotoSports in one of the world’s biggest rallies, crashed on Wednesday and is being kept under a 24-hour observation.
“We are pleased to share that he has no major physical injuries except for the dislocated right shoulder and head trauma. The latest scans have also shown no major issue that could impact his full recovery,” Hero MotoSports said in a statement.

CS Santosh has been airlifted to hospital after a crash during his 2021 Dakar campaign. It is being reported that a competitor had to resuscitate the Indian rider before medical services arrived to transport him to the hospital, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
