It wasn’t quite the way the East Ferris carnival committee wanted to celebrate the event’s 100th anniversary.
But they made the best out of a difficult situation. Pandemic protocols forced the committee to change the schedule and traditional events East Ferris families enjoy each year.

East Ferris council members and the municipality’s planning advisory committee chairman have been cleared by its integrity commissioner of allegations they broke code of conduct policies.
“I find no contravention of the Municipality of East Ferris council code of conduct by John O’Rourke during the March 27, 2019, PAC meeting, or by any members of council during the May 14, 2019, council meeting,” David King, the municipality’s integrity commissioner stated in a report received by East Ferris council Tuesday evening.
