The massive donation was announced Wednesday during a livestream. Managing Director of the Yarmouth Hospital Foundation, Paulette Sweeney-Goodwin, talked about what the donation will mean for the future of the community. “This will have ramifications for generations,” said Sweeney-Goodwin. “It certainly means that we can do just that much more to support and enhance healthcare in our community.” The Foundation has invested the donation. Up to 5 per cent of the initial donation, amounting to at least $1,000,000 annually, will be allocated from the income it generates.
