Jin Chung, 75, went missing after going on a solo hike on Sunday at Mount Baldy. Chung arrived at the mountain hike with friends but failed to return to the car at 2pm.
Both national and state officials are now working with the San Bernardino County Sheriff s office to track down Julian Sands. Police are now using phone forensics to help pinpoint his location.

The pictures, taken during an ascent of the Weisshorn peak in the Swiss Alps, were sent to his grandson Billy before the film star vanished while climbing Mount Baldy.
