After the police chief and directors filed a lawsuit against the city, city council has voted to hire their own attorney in a federal lawsuit of their own.
Barely over a week after city council passed a resolution canceling the salary and benefits for two police department directors and the chief of police announced a leave of absence, both directors and the chief have filed a federal lawsuit against the city.
Police in Dearborn Heights are set to become the first department in Michigan to receive new innovative technology with the hopes of reducing the number of high-speed chases in the city.
"Our students represent our future, and make no mistake we will safeguard their right to assemble peacefully, and speak their concerns," Bill Bazzi said.
