astart to your tuesday morning, april26th,, 2011. good morning. glad you re with us in the 11:00 hour. nice but warm out there. that s all right. yesterday felt like summer but let s check in with tony and find out. good morning to both of you. today will feel like summer again. in the 80s today. but it s not as humid this morning as it was yesterday morning at this time. but it is warm again. let s take a look at the temperatures across the region. we re primarily in the 60s to around 70. 68 right now in baltimore. 64 in d.c. 68 at bulls. fredericksberg is at 69. hagerstown is 67 degrees there. here is a look at the satellite radar. we do have some clouds out there. not a lot. we ll see plenty of sunshine through the day today. there is the frontal boundery out to the west that brought severe weather to arkansas last night. it is still bringing stormy conditions to portions of tennessee and kentucky. that won t impact us until tomorrow. so the forecast for today looks

sunshine, warm, winds out of the south at 5-10. and high temperature of 85 degrees. nor details more details on the forecast coming up in just a few minutes. allison and tony, back to you. we begin this hour with the traffic alert. get ready for a much slower commute along new york avenue in the district. a major bridge reconstruction project kicked off earlier today. sarah simmons is live in northeast with more on what this will mean for drivers. sarah? reporter: well, tony and allison, it could be a headache for some commuters if they do come through this way. the traffic is a little bit lighter today because we have the holiday, but tomorrow as more and more people are back out here on the roadways it could be an issue. delays are expected here on new york avenue between penn street and florida avenue is where you re going to see the lanes reduce. it s a two-year project. so it s 15-30 minutes extra that d-dot anticipates that people may end up spending in traffic.
