Addicts caught with £600 of drugs A PAIR of drug addicts have avoided prison after more than £600 worth of heroin and cannabis was discovered in their home. Lauren Kelsey and Michael Fawcett were initially charged with possession with intent to supply but the Crown Prosecution Service accepted their plea of guilty to simple possession, Teesside Crown Court heard. Paul Newcombe, prosecuting, said police recovered a number of wraps of drugs and a set of digital scales in their Stockton home in September 2019. The police found £190 of heroin and £420 in cannabis stored in the house. The defendants told police their drugs were packaged up like deals to enable them to control their own drug intake.

Suzanne Kelly Teesside Crown Court heard how there was no direct evidence that Perren had encouraged Kelly to supply him with the sex abuse images after they met while he was working as a DJ in a local pub. Paul Abrahams, prosecuting, said Perren had a number of previous convictions for sex offences dating back more than a decade. The court how Perren s home was raided in November last year after concerns about his internet use. In total officers recovered 3,417 Category A pictures and videos, the more serious offence; 2,331 Category B images; 18,339 Category C and 9,489 extreme pornography images.
