Arcadis JV forges ahead with detailed designs for HS2 central section
An Arcadis-led joint venture has signed up to deliver the detailed designs for the central section of HS2 s first phase between London and Birmingham.
The Arcadis, Setec and Cowi joint venture, known as ASC, will produce detailed designs for 80km of track between the Chiltern tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
The engineering works for the section of the new rail line will include up to 15 viaducts, 6.9km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions 81 bridges and 30M.m
3 of excavation.
The contract was agreed between ASC and HS2 main works contractor EKFB, a consortium made up of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and Bam Nuttall.
