Samsung tablet, picture Cobbydale Connected FRIENDS of Silsden Town Hall have set up a new scheme - Cobbydale Connected - aimed at getting older people used to new technology. The group, which is working in partnership with digital company Worth Connecting, says it is an attempt to help those who may have experienced isolation and loneliness during the coronavirus pandemic by becoming more IT savvy and better connected. Over 55 year olds in and around Silsden are being offered Samsung Android Tablets to try out for up to six weeks, with tuition and support in popular digital activities. The tablets can also come with a SIM card so that they can be connected to the internet without the need for broadband to be installed at home.
