Reporter Police Chased the suspect but then lost him. They found his car with obvious front end damage, but he was nowhere to be found. After a three hour manhunt officers finally arrested the suspect in the 500 block of ellis. Meanwhile the officer was rushed to General Hospital. He got out of surgery this evening. Hes in icu. Well talk about the long term plans of some of the neighbors who do plan to rebuild, how theyre going to rebuild. In the meantime these folks basically have until 5 00 right now to basically finish up. So the police will actually come here within the next couple minutes to wrap folks and get them to finish up for today. They can return tomorrow morning at 10 00 and continue to go through the debris. I know when i was up there last week, people were concerned then about looters coming in to steal. Reporter he said numbers show the stadium made 26 million in revenue in 2017, an 8 million surplus, math that only works if you divorce the stadium loan from the Athletic Department deficit altogether and even the chancellors Intercollegiate Athletics task force linked the deficit to the payment. The representative from oes said it would not charge homeowners to remove the foundations of their homes, but they do have the option to move forward to their own to do their own full cleanup if they disagree with the official findings. People who lost their homes have two options, let the government do most of the work or people can opt out and choose to do the work themselves, but they have to do it to government standards. Now we heard several times today officials dont want people to opt out. They say the government knows how to do the work safely and more quickly and that would be better for everyone.
