September is almost over, but the upcoming week’s forecast looks as if October will offer more opportunities, whether it’s on my own or at organized functions.
Visitors to Paul Bunyan Park can resume taking unobstructed selfies with Bemidji's Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues as the final construction phase draws to a close.
Construction has begun to raise Bemidji’s Babe the Blue Ox by 15 inches to help improve drainage around the statue and his pal Paul Bunyan, preserving them for future generations.
The Bemidji Sunrise and Noon Rotary Clubs are collaborating once again for their annual rose fundraiser. Roses can be pre-purchased from Rotarians directly. The cost is $15 per dozen and customers can choose between red or multi-colored roses.
