Rifle City Council adjusted noise ordinance hours, appointed a new city clerk and more at their May 15 meeting. Council voted to update Rifle’s Municipal Code dealing with amplified sound devices being used in residential.
The City of Rifle has begun their spending for this year’s budget, and a portion will soon be benefiting the Parachute Area Transit System. PATS will be funded by Rifle for the amount of $40,000.
The City of Rifle considered an increase to the purchase order for the Grand Hogback Trail system and new trails have been proposed in Silt. The Bureau of Land Management sent out a press release.
Rifle city council had their first meeting of the new year last Wednesday and got through numerous items. One business owner, Paul Coffman of Timberline Sporting Goods on East 26th Street in the northern part.
