Right now five Cumberland County deputies face discipline for this arrest at a recent rally for president ial candidate donald trump. Cbs North Carolinas emma wright is in studio with details. What did the sheriff say they did wrong . Reporter the sheriff says the deputies didnt act fast enough after a trump supporter punched a protester in the face. Caught on video. This is another look at what happened here the Cumberland County sheriff says rakim jones was punched by 78yearold john mcgraw as he was walking up the stairs during the trump rally. Deputies initially grabbed jones after he was punch and took him to the ground. The sheriff disploind five of the deputies involved, disdemoting three in rank and suspended for a period of two days without pay. Pay. They will all be on probation for 12 months. Some

Firefighters just put out a house fire in venetia, this is largoen drive and two people have been sent to the hospital. Reporter firefighters remain on the scene and they will be here for a quite for quite a while. Let me tell you what we know, a newspaper man drove by and saw and smelled smoke and called 911. Firefighters had to force their way in, smoke was billowing out of the inside of the home. They found two people unconscious, and at this point they think the fire started somewhere in the kitchen living room area and they say the damage where the fire started is extensive.
