What did the sheriff say they did wrong . Reporter the sheriff says the deputies didnt act fast enough after a trump supporter punched a protester in the face. Caught on video. This is another look at what happened here the Cumberland County sheriff says rakim jones was punched by 78yearold john mcgraw as he was walking up the stairs during the trump rally. Deputies initially grabbed jones after he was punch and took him to the ground. The sheriff disploind five of the deputies involved, disdemoting three in rank and suspended for a period of two days without pay. Pay. They will all be on probation for 12 months. Some Trump Supporters say the incident is unfortunate. First off they called the sheriffs down because they felt, as you see the rallies, if youre not there for them you are against them. Get out of here. They figure we were not for him and they reacted. That was jones, the man punched. John mcgraw who punched him was eventually charged with punching him. Well hear from mcgraw coming up in the next halfhour. Next month, the man is expected in court accused of peeping in windows. Near large apartment complexes in fayetteville. The incidents happened near morganton road and westlake drive where there are several apartments in that area. 36yearold chris lewis faces a list of charges and believed to have been in fayetteville for at least the last three years. Raleigh police are Police Responded to a home on fountain drive 5 30 yesterday evening where they found the victim. He was take to be the hospital and is expected to be ok.
