Teso fruit farmers frustrated as factory fails to meet expectations

Advertisement   The fruit processing plant, a government investment promotion initiative, whose main objective is to support value addition to local oranges and mangoes, with a view of improving household incomes in the country, currently produces fruit concentrates and ready to drink juice dubbed Teju Juice. Government, through the Uganda Development Corporation, (UDC) owns 80 per cent shares, while the 20 per cent are owned by the Teso Tropical Fruits Cooperative Union (TTFCU).
