This book came about because of the review i did that mention the series that was used biography to teach history. It would hit biographical topics or would use a representative biography to get at a broader subject of history. They had just published their first volume, it was on pocahontas because of the issues regarding native American History. They were looking for someone to do something on American Foreign relations.
