This case keptstranger and stranger. What came over the radio sounded like a twocar crash but when officers arrived on the scene they figured out it was a bigger bizarre crime. At 5 47 california Highway Patrol was called out to a 2 vehicle collision on eastbound i80 in oakland near park boulevard. They found one vehicle, a chrysler 300. Reporter three people, two men, and a child they were headed out on a fishing trip when the driver crashed into them. After they pulled over, the man driving the chrysler then stole their toyota highlander. The occupant of chsler 300 exited that vehicle and the highlander advised them they were going to call the police and get a traffic report. When they did that he pulled out a black semiautomatic handgun, unknown caliber at this point. Pointed it at them r the susp forced the two men and child out of the highlander and sped off in their vehicle. The chp said he got off i580 and crashed again.
