GREEN BAY - Amelie Eiding and Jon Kresin made a long-distance relationship work while living on separate continents, and then weathered a pandemic year in the close quarters of their Green Bay apartment.
They’re hoping for some middle ground in 2021.
As husband-and-wife pop duo 7000apart a reference to the 7000 kilometers from her bedroom in Stockholm, Sweden, to his college dorm room in Kentucky during their dating years they were
this close to becoming full-time musicians last year.
A steady presence at open mics at the Lyric Room, Cup O Joy and The Art Garage, and a 2019 debut album, “We Are More,” had earned them a strong following at home in Green Bay and was starting to pay dividends farther away.

From a dirty, old city service garage to a mecca of local artwork, The Art Garage has suddenly burst on the Port Clinton scene. The downtown building is much cleaner and far more pleasant than just a few short weeks ago, and local expectations are sky high.
The building is now a partnership between the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council and the City of Port Clinton, which once used it as a service garage for city vehicles and equipment. Built in 1935, it is now envisioned as 9,000 square feet of The Arts Garage, or TAG, and being repurposed to be an epicenter for the arts in Port Clinton and all of Ottawa County.

PORT CLINTON - With even bigger plans on the horizon, The Art Garage already is beginning to transform the atmosphere around a previously quiet and unassuming block near downtown Port Clinton.
What was mere months ago an unoccupied and significantly worn old structure at 317 W. Perry St., which had long ago served as the former city garage, is now a bastion of color and creativity bustling with activity.
As a vision of the Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council, The Art Garage, or “TAG” for short, is a space where artists of all mediums will be able to come together with the community to share their individual talents while also connecting the area west of the Portage River drawbridge with the rest of Port Clinton’s historic downtown district.
Tuscaloosa City Schools have been forced to cut corners in its curriculum to satisfy decreased classroom capacities and coronavirus safety guidelines. In a move typical of a town that favors sports, the arts were tossed the curb, depriving many children of a fine arts education for the past year.
Joanna Lemmon has taught children’s art classes for years and saw the desperate need in the community for a creative outlet. Last summer, when parents were desperate to find anything to occupy their children’s time, Lemmon opened the Art Garage in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa.
