As you can see be behind me here, crime scene investigators are still on the scene. You can see the vehicle involved in the crash. The officer, one from tampa and one from st. Petersburg were out looking for stolen cars as part of the Auto Theft Task force. They were tracking down actually traveling down Central Avenue when they were tboned at 54th street north. As it turns out, the car that hit them had been stolen but they were not actually looking for that vehicle. There were six people in the vehicle, four females and two males ages 15 to 25 years old. There is no ring. And you just got a bunch of kids that think its a cool thing to do. So everybody thinks, okay, lets go out and see if we can find a car. Reporter now the 25year hospital.
