Maha Governor takes regular airline after CM says no for use of VVIP aircraft

Mumbai, Feb 11: In an unusual incident, Governor of Maharashtra, Bhagat Singh Koshyari was denied the use of the state government aircraft to fly to Dehradun. After there was no approval from the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray for the special VVIP flight, the Governor and his entourage decided to board an airline flight to the destination instead.
The Governor reached the Mumbai airport s general aviation terminal at 9 am today in Kalina to board the government Cessna Citation XLS aircraft. Reports said that the Governor s office had sent the Governor s programme to the state civil aviation department. As per protocol the same was forwarded to the Chief Minister s Office for approval.
FIR against Haryanvi singer Sapna Choudhary for fund misappropriation

Ludhiana, Feb 11: The Delhi Police s Economic Offences Wing has registered an FIR against Haryanvi singer Sapna Choudhary and others on charges of alleged misappropriation of funds, cheating and criminal conspiracy, officials said on Thursday.
The FIR was registered against them on Wednesday as per a complaint by Pawan Chawla, the director of P&M Movies Pvt. Ltd, a firm engaged in the business of celebrity management and events, they said.
According to the FIR, Choudhary approached Chawla in March 2018 through a common friend after her exit from a popular reality show and showed a keen interest to work with the firm to get financial stability.
As the water level in the Dhauli Ganga river surged on Thursday, rescue operations have been temporarily halted at the tunnel in Tapovan where more than 30 people are thought to be trapped for over four days since the glacier disaster.
TN elections before May 24, ECI to send expenditure observers

Chennai, Feb 11: The Election Commission of India said that it will send two special expenditure observers to Tamil Nadu to keep a check on money distribution in a bid to influence the outcome of the elections.
The announcement was made here by Chief Election Commissioner, Sunil Arora after his two day visit to check the poll preparedness in the state, where elections are due this year.
Arora said that the polls in Vellore and R K Nagar had been rescinded owing to corruption and this was the harshest decision that the Election Commission took. We want to conduct an inducement free and COVID-19 free election, he also added.
