Veteran Gujarati theatre personality Arvind Joshi, actor Sharman Joshi s father, died at Mumbai s Nanavati Hospital in the early hours of Friday because of age related ailments. He was 84. The late actor s sister-in-law, actress Sarita Joshi, told news agency PTI that he died around 3:30 am on Friday. A source told the news agency that Arvind Joshi was in the ICU for over a week because of chest infection and neurological issues: He was suffering neurological issues and had chest infection. Theatre artist Arvind Joshi is no more. The thespian, who is also Sharman Joshi and Mansi Joshi s father, has passed away today in Mumbai s Nanavati Hospital, according to a report in Film Information.
The cause of his death has not been revealed yet. It is also not known when his last rites would be held. The actor has been a known name in the theatre circle and also the Gujrati theatre and film circle. In fact, Arvind Joshi had also been a part of Bollywood films like Ittefaq, Apmaan Ki Aag, and Sholay. He is now survived by his wife, and his children- Sharman Joshi and Mansi Joshi.
Taking to Twitter, Bollywood celebrities applauded the scientists and doctors for their achievement.

MUMBAI: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched India s COVID-19 vaccination drive, many from the Indian film industry took to social media to recognise the efforts of scientists, doctors and healthcare workers.
The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) had earlier this month approved Oxford COVID-19 vaccine Covishield, manufactured by the Serum Institute, and indigenously developed Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for restricted emergency use in the country, paving the way for a massive inoculation drive.
