Reporter all over the Redwood Estates neighborhood heavily armed deputies, chp officers and k9 units were posted as lookout trying to box the suspect in in case he tried to make a run for it again. This all began when this suspect robbed a bank in Scotts Valley around 10 am. He was pursued over the hill into santa clara county. The suspect got into a crash and then fled on foot. There was an officer involved shooting in a part of this event by a Scotts Valley pd officer. We have no reports of any injuries to any officers. Reporter so began the all day traffic nightmare. Both lanes were shut down on highway 17 forcing traffic on to narrow mountain roads. It will take hours to get from the south bay to santa cruz and vice versa.
