Salida moved to Tier II of its COVID-19 action plan as of Friday.Â
The action came as a result of the county moving to âYellow Levelâ on the stateâs COVID-19 dial on Feb. 6.Â
As a result, city council and planning commission meetings along with meetings of all boards and commissions will allow limited in-person attendance for purposes of conducting public hearings beginning March 2.Â
The city is requesting those wishing to testify to please do so on the GoToWebinar platform or by email or letter.Â
In person testimony will be limited to 10 people in the meeting room at any given time, in addition to staff and board members.Â
People have an opportunity to look at reality from a different perspective this month at the inaugural Salida Goes Surreal art show at the SteamPlantâs Paquette Gallery.Â
Twenty eight artists created 42 pieces specifically for the show, featuring illogical juxtapositions, dream like scenes, symbolic images, elements of the subconscious reflecting back on reality, bizarre assemblages of ordinary objects and other unique interpretations on reality.Â
The show was set up Thursday at the Paquette Gallery and will be up through December.Â
The gallery is open to the public from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with COVID-19 guidelines and capacity limits in place.Â
