What’s new in the neighborhood: Seattle restaurants coming, changing in Greenwood, Phinney Ridge Naomi Tomky, Special to the Seattle P-I
While it seemed as if so much stood still over the last year and a bit, the restaurant scene in Seattle kept moving forward at the same rapid pace as it has in recent years.
As Washington state prepares to fully reopen and vaccinated people again feel safe heading out to restaurants, we are taking a neighborhood-by-neighborhood look at the changes you’ll find and what’s coming down the pipeline. We start with Greenwood, where a long-time favorite bar retooled to Cambodian food, an old favorite sandwich shop returned, and this fall should bring Filipino fried chicken, prix-fixe pasta, and Vietnamese coffee.

read about that here. Well, that celebration only marks the beginning. For the entire month of May, the company celebrates AAPI Heritage Month with, among other things, a series of special beer releases.
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This gives Lucky Envelope Brewing the opportunity to celebrate its heritage the best way it knows how; the brewery will release a series of special beers and host some fun at the brewery. Along with the beer, a series of AAPI-owned food trucks will serve up food (schedule below). The brewery will donate a portion of May’s beer sales to Seattle’s Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) .
