One New COVID-19 Related Deaths Reported Locally

Des Moines, IA (KICD)– The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 1,861 new cases of COVID-19 in the state as of 11 a.m. Thursday taking the pandemic total to more that 291 thousand cases and 4,065 virus-related deaths.
Locally, the largest 24-hour increase is in Buena Vista, Cherokee and Palo Alto Counties with 14 new cases each followed by 11 in Clay County, ten in Kossuth, eight new cases in O’Brien County, seven in Emmet County, five in Dickinson, four in Pocahontas County and two new cases in Osceola.
Minnesota health officials added 2,004 new cases Thursday morning taking the state to more than 429 thousand total cases and 5,438 deaths. The update includes five new cases and one death in Jackson County and four cases in Nobles County.

(KICD) The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 2,129 new cases of COVID-19 in the state in the 24-hour-period ending at 11 A.M. Friday. Taking the pandemic total to 282,435 and 3,898 virus-related deaths.
Locally, the largest increase was in Buena Vista County with 27 new cases, followed by Clay and Emmet County with 13 each, Dickinson County with 12, Cherokee with 10, Kossuth and Palo Alto Counties with 9, Pocahontas County with 6, Osceola County with 3 and O’Brien County with 2. There was one additional death reported in Dickinson County.
Minnesota is not reporting numbers today due to the New Years Day Holiday.

Locally, the largest 24-hour change is in Dickinson County with nine new cases followed by seven in Clay County, six in O’Brien County, five new cases each in Buena Vista, Cherokee and Kossuth Counties, three in Osceola and Palo Alto Counties, no change in Pocahontas and a one case reduction in Emmet County.
Minnesota health officials added 1,449 new cases Friday morning taking the state to more than 502 thousand total cases and 6,771 deaths. The update includes one new case in Nobles County and no change in Jackson County.
