One New COVID-19 Related Deaths Reported Locally

Des Moines, IA (KICD)– The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 1,861 new cases of COVID-19 in the state as of 11 a.m. Thursday taking the pandemic total to more that 291 thousand cases and 4,065 virus-related deaths.
Locally, the largest 24-hour increase is in Buena Vista, Cherokee and Palo Alto Counties with 14 new cases each followed by 11 in Clay County, ten in Kossuth, eight new cases in O’Brien County, seven in Emmet County, five in Dickinson, four in Pocahontas County and two new cases in Osceola.
Minnesota health officials added 2,004 new cases Thursday morning taking the state to more than 429 thousand total cases and 5,438 deaths. The update includes five new cases and one death in Jackson County and four cases in Nobles County.
