IA, (KICD) The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 156 new cases of COVID-19 in the state as of 11 A.M. Monday, taking the pandemic total to 381,965 total cases and 5,822 virus-related deaths.
Locally, the largest increase was in Dickinson and Palo Alto Counties with 2 cases each, followed by Kossuth, O’Brien, and Osceola Counties with 1 case each. There was no change in Buena Vista, Clay, Pocahontas, or Emmet Counties. There was a one case reduction in Cherokee County.
Minnesota health officials added 3,447 new cases Monday morning, taking the state to 527,650 total cases and 6,874 total deaths after two days of not releasing numbers in observance of the holidays. There was 20 new cases reported in Jackson County and 10 in Nobles County.

Locally, the largest increase was in Kossuth County with 7 new cases, followed by Dickinson County with 5, Buena Vista County with 2, and O’Brien, Osceola, and Palo Alto Counties with 1 each. There was no change in Pocahontas, Clay, Emmet, or Cherokee Counties.
There was one additional death added to Buena Vista, Cherokee, O’Brien, and Pocahontas Counties. Dickinson and Kossuth Counties added two new deaths each.

Locally, the largest 24-hour increase is in Dickinson County with 29, followed by Clay County with 17, Emmet, and Palo Alto Counties with 11 each, Buena Vista County with 6, Kossuth with 4, Cherokee County with 3, O’Brien County with 2, and Palo Alto and Pocahontas Counties with 1 each. There was no change in Osceola County.
Minnesota health officials added 912 new cases Thursday morning, taking the state to 521,667 total cases and 6,860 total deaths. There were no new cases in Jackson or Nobles Counties.
