The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach is facing possible fines for multiple building and fire code violations that were first reported by the Town of Palm Beach Fire Department in September.
Officials at the Code Enforcement Board s meeting last month planned to discuss the status of approximately 17 violations the hotel was instructed to fix in January, but according to Fire Marshal Marty DeLoach, nothing was done at the property, 2800 S. Ocean Blvd.
DeLoach told officials at the Feb. 18 meeting that the violations included extensive use of electrical cords throughout the building, work performed without permit plans for electrical modification, blocked exits in many areas of the building and lack of maintenance of fire and smoke doors. He also was concerned about the hotel modifying its electrical system a year ago to “accommodate their single client.”
