Hyderabad, April 7 : With the resurge in the Covid cases in Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has urged the people to strictly follow the Covid guidelines.
In his message on the World Health Day on Wednesday, he appealed to people to keep the environment clean and green, take nutritious food, keep a tab on healthy living and contain the spread of Covid-19.
KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, stated in his message that health is wealth and the state government is working towards a healthy society. He said the development is possible only when people are healthy.

The newly established Masaipet mandal headquarters was formally inaugurated at the town by Finance Minister T . Harish Rao and Lok Sabha member K. Prabhakar Reddy on Wednesday. This is the 541st mandal in the State. “After the formation of Telangana, as many as 103 new mandals were established, taking the administration close to people. They need not travel long distance to meet officials to get their problems addressed. There used to be drinking water problem, which is now being addressed through Mission Bhagiratha. Similarly power problem was addressed for ever,” said Mr. Rao while addressing a gathering after the inauguration of mandal headquarters.

Entire village is cooperating in the transformation, says sarpanch
On the outskirts of this village is the dump yard where wet and dry garbage is being separated. Recyclable material like bottles is being kept aside. All other not useful material is put in incinerator and burnt down. The ash can be used again.
The wet garbage is dried and and allowed to become compost. Since July 2020, the village has generated a revenue of ₹ 70,000 by selling the compost. A farmer in the village has used only this manure in his farm and cultivated wheat, village sarpanch Kasala Malla Reddy said and added that he too had used a tractor load of this manure. Hyderabad, Feb 9 : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday declared that local bodies would be strengthened and would be made to play an active role in rural development.
He said the Zilla Parishads and Mandal Parishads would be given funds like the Gram Panchayats and they would be assigned fixed responsibilities. He promised to allocate funds for Zilla and Mandal Parishads in the state s budget for 2021-2022.
Stating that the New Panchayat Raj Act has empowered the Gram Panchayats to utilise their funds totally without taking any permission from the mandal and district level officials, he called for its effective implementation.
