Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 4 (ANI): Telangana Government on Saturday said it does not recognize the Potireddypadu project, which is allegedly being constructed illegally by Andhra Pradesh on Krishna River without any clearance.
Chairing a high-level review meeting, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao made it clear that the Telangana government is not recognizing the Potireddypadu project, which is being illegally constructed by the Andhra Pradesh Government on Krishna River without any environmental clearances or allocation of even a drop of water to the project or any permissions from the Green Tribunal, said the Chief Minister s Office (CMO).

Guntur/Nalgonda (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana) [India], July 4 (ANI): Amid the ongoing controversy over Krishna River waters utilisation, both Andhra and Telangana police have deployed huge force at the Pulichintala project at their respective sides of the project almong the border between the states on Saturday.
The police of both states have been guarding the projects on Krishna River like Nagarjuna Sagar and Pulichintala in the bordering areas of Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh and Nalgonda district of Telangana.
Telangana started power generation at Pulichintala and released water downwards into Andhra Pradesh, compelling Andhra to drain that water into the Bay of Bengal through Prakasam barrage at Vijayawada.
