Trader killed in front of son: 3 accused remanded Star Digital Report Star Digital Report A Dhaka court today placed three accused on a four-day remand each in a case filed over the killing of trader Md Shahinuddin in front of his seven-year-old son in the city s Pallabi area on May 16. The accused are Mohammad Titu (30), Iqbal Noor (21) and Mohammad Sharif (20). Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mondol passed the order after Syed Iftekhar Hossain, an inspector of Detective Branch of Police and also the investigation officer of the case, produced them before the court with a 10-day remand prayer. In today s remand prayer, the IO said Titu is an FIR-named accused and he was involved with the incident while the names of Noor and Sharif were found in the investigation. So, they need to be remanded to know the whereabouts of others responsible, the IO added.

The deceased, Monir, 21, took part in the killing of Shahinuddin on May 16 in front of his son in Pallabi, police said. The man was injured in the gunfight around 2:30am inside Sagufta Housing area. On information, a police team took him to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, said Aklima Akter, a sub-inspector of Pallabi Police Station. A text sent by Dhaka Metropolitan Police s media wing said a team of detectives arrested Monir near Pallabi Eidgah Maidan around 9:00pm on Saturday.
