12 police officials dismissed for negligence in protecting Hindu temple from vandalism in Pakistan
The government also forfeited one-year service of 33 police officials in connection with the incident where a Hindu temple in the province was torched by a mob.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government in Pakistan has dismissed 12 police officials following an enquiry report that found them guilty of negligence in protecting a Hindu temple in the province, which was torched by a mob led by members of a radical Islamist party.
Police arrest 45 others over attack on Hindu temple in northwest Pakistan
The temple, which also has a samadhi of a Hindu religious leader, was attacked by the mob after members of the Hindu community received permission from local authorities to renovate its building.

PESHAWAR: Pakistani police have arrested 45 more people for their alleged involvement in the vandalisation of a Hindu temple by a mob led by members of a radical Islamist party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. With the latest arrests, the number of accused arrested in the case has risen to 100.
